Come out and help celebrate the 243 birthday of our Navy. Commanding
Officer, Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Sacramento, Commander
Robert Bogan will join us along with his new Executive Officer
Lieutenant Commander DeFazio. CDR Bogan and LCDR DeFazio will introduce
themselves, update Council members on the activities at the NOSC, and
how we might assist with their mission. They will also help cut a
ceremonial cake in honor of the our Navy's birthday. This is the first
time the new leadership at the NOSC has attended a Sacramento Council
Forum. Please come out and give a strong Navy League welcome, learn
about the goings on at the NOSC, and plug into upcoming events in

Don't forget Fleet Week! - Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7, SF Fleet Week. The
Blues will be performing along with all the normal festivities. Your
Navy League Council is taking a break after a busy Sacramento Navy Week
and California Capitol Airshow in August and September. The Bay Area
Navy League Councils and Sea Cadets will be front-and-center at this
event in support of Fleet Week activities. Find out more about the week

Thursday, October 18, 7:00 pm, Board of Directors meeting, Northern California Shriners Hospital for Children. All
are welcome. The Board will be discussing nominations for Officer and
Board positions in the coming year. Please step up and help if you

meet on the second floor in the meeting room adjoining the cafeteria.
