Save the Date - Wednesday September 18, 2019, Time - TBD, Sacramento Council Reception for a Native Son - Admiral Scott Jones, Commander Naval Air Reserves

Join the Sacramento Council as we welcome Rear Admiral Scott Jones at the Aerospace Museum of California. Admiral Jones is visiting the Sacramento area as part of the Navy’s Executive Engagement Program. The Council arranged for the Admiral to visit the JROTC programs at Luther Burbank and John F. Kennedy High Schools on Tuesday, September 17 as well as Sacramento Coast Guard Air Station prior to the reception on the 18th. Admiral Jones is a Sacramento native and has a compelling story of the opportunities that a military career can bring - from high school drop-out to Rear Admiral. Saturday September 21, 2019, 6:00 pm - TBD, Aerospace Museum of California (AMC) BBQ on the Ramp. Join our partners at AMC for their biggest event of the year that includes a spectacular firework show on the ramp over the historical aircraft. The Sacramento Council will have an information table at the event and will attend the event as a group. Tuesday, October 1, 2019, Council Social & Forum. Dinner at 1730, meeting starts at 1830, location Sam’s Hof Brau, El Camino and Watt.

You don't want to miss this! - October 5, 2019, Navy Ball and 244 Birthday Celebration, Marine Corps Memorial Hotel, Union Square, San Francisco. Join members of the Navy League Pacific Central Region and Sacramento Council at this prestigious event. The Navy Ball is sponsored and facilitated by Reservists and Active Duty Sailors of the Naval Operational Support Centers in Sacramento, Alameda and San Jose through the Moffett CPOA (Chief Petty Officer's Association). The scheduled speaker is Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Russell Smith, bio at: Civilians are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Sacramento Council Board of Directors voted to donate $500 as seed money to this event that pays homage to the past and present.
