Who We Are - The Navy League of the United States, Sacramento Council is a non-profit civilian service organization, with over 200 members, that has supported the Sea Services in the Sacramento area since 1956. The Navy League of the United States was founded in 1902, and is comprised of 65,000 members in 250 councils worldwide.
What We Do - Local Impact with a Global Role - We are dedicated to supporting local sea service youth organizations and Sea Service elements of our Armed Forces. We are also charged with the responsibility to inform and educate the American people and elected officials that the United States of America is a maritime nation and that its national defense and economic well being are dependent upon strong sea services – United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard and United States Merchant Marine.
What We Ask - Whether you served in uniform or not, we invite you to join us today as a member or as one of our corporate partner/donors. Our mission, “in Support of the Sea Services,” reflects both our commitment and our broad Citizens appeal to everyone concerned with supporting our youth and our men and women in uniform.
Organization Goals

- Provide assistance to the sea services
- Support Sea Services oriented youth programs
Where We Meet - General membership meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Sam’s Hof Brau Restaurant located at 2500 Watt Ave (at El Camino Ave). Meetings consist of no host dinner followed at 6:30 by a general meeting and frequently a guest speaker. Please E-mail for event confirmation as the schedule is

Tuesday, May 1st 5:30pm – 7:30pm, Council Navy League Forum at Sam's Hof Brau, Our special guest will be LTJG Ted Welch, and cadets and family members of the Gold Country Sea Cadets. We meet and greet at 5:30 to 6:00 PM for dinner. The Forum begins at 6:30 pm
Thursday, May 3rd 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Luther Burbank High School Navy JROTC Annual Awards Night, all are welcome, and encouraged to attend, contact Tal Norwood if you plan to attend.
Saturday, may 5th 8:00am – 10:00am, John F Kennedy High School MCJROTC Pass in Review, Change of Command, and Annual Awards Ceremony, John F Kennedy High School 6715 Gloria Drive, Sacramento, CA, all are welcome, contact Tal Norwood for directions and location specifics
Friday, May 18th 7:00pm – 9:00pm, Luther Burbank High School NJROTC Military Ball, at the Elks Lodge #6, located at Riverside Drive and Florin Road Sacramento CA 95823.
